A lot of that money was guaranteed, though.
The Ravens just made it rain on the guy and with little evidence that it was a smart decision. He was about to sign w/ the Chiefs on a 'make-good' and fairly cheap deal. And that was his market.
Until the Ravens detonated the thing and threw money at him that he wasn't worth even if he wasn't a prick.
Near as I can figure it, he got $32 million from the Ravens. It's hard to say his leg injury really cost him all that much - they gave him such a bad contract that even the contract he would've gotten but/for the injury likely doesn't give him much more than that and frankly, he was bordering on washed either way.
