It's pretty clear wtf is happening but it seems to be impossibly complicated to you. The investigation tagged 650k emails. The only ones that are ever going to the see the light of day are the ones leaked about Gruden. Look at what the NFL accomplished by leaking those emails. No attention is being paid to what else was uncovered in that investigation. Dan Snyder still owns the team.

But it's also drawn more attention to the redacted emails existing. I know Snyder is a vindictive asshole. But you have a lot of really smart lawyers who also thought this was a good idea. I get the distraction if a huge bomb is about to drop and it's inevitable. If not then this was either really stupid or it was intentional. Jon gruden had close ties to Allen. Jay gruden was obviously a big time insider. Why is it farfetched to think they knew something?
