The only person destroying Rose's reputation is Rose himself. Say what you will, he now looks absolutely horrible to everyone outside of Chicago because of the selfish shit he's pulling and how he's letting his teammates down.
Bottom line - he was cleared to play months ago, he started scrimmaging months ago, and his excuses for sitting out get lamer by the week: first it was "I can't dunk off my left foot," and then when he started being able to do that in warmups, it became "only God knows," and when that didn't fly, he suddenly lost his "muscle memory."
He's getting paid over $16mil this year alone, in the second year of a $95mil contract extension. His teammates are puking, limping, and laid up in hospital beds. There's no excuse for him to be sitting on the bench anymore, period.
If I were a Bulls fan, I would be seriously doubting Rose's commitment to the franchise and ability to lead a team, because right now, he's shirking his responsibilities in unprecedented and embarrassing fashion.
