Being #1 defensively with Shaun Phillips and hot garbage/career backups/upcoming FA's at the other 3 LB spots is pretty impressive, and while we would have liked to add Smith to the LB corp, we're happy to fill the position with our 1a choice.

That's a name I've been hearing a lot. Too bad we drafted Larry English #1 a few years back. He should just get fat and play DE, he might be better from a 3 point stance. He was in college.
Shawn Phillips is also from Purdue, so he might take this guy under his wing if we take him.
