At the end of the day, I’m pretty pessimistic. The government and these big companies have too many mutual interests to actually fix anything. |

I went to their store and asked what internet speed/cost combos they had and they had one at 10 Mbps and the next at 30 Mbps (which was the same price I was already paying) so I just doubled my speed at no additional cost. I just tested it at 35.85 Mbps down, 3.08 up. The guy told me some lame story of how it would be so tedious to hunt through all the customers speeds and upgrade them when they change packages. I call BS - some programming could do that...but he did make the change for me without too much bother.

I know some of you have community broadband, if you like it you might want to let your politicians know. https://motherboard.vice.com/en_us/a...ource=vicefbus

No one here works for NASA?
Their 91 gb is a myth sort of. The reality behind this claim is that NASA had done a test where it achieved 91 Gbps. The test was done between the SC13 supercomputer and NASA’s Servers in Goddard. But it is important to note that this test involved only these 2 Machines, so it is actually just LAN(Local Area Network). The internet we use is made possible through WAN and MAN(Wide and Metropolitan Area Network). LAN involves only some devices in the local area whereas MAN and WAN constitute networks of big regions. http://www.theitstuff.com/nasa-91-gb...-speed-reality
