If Mahomes stays grounded, listens closely to the Quarterback Whisperer, and takes care of his body, he's going to get better and better with age.

Patrick "Fine Wine" Mahomes.

This sounds weird, but, I woke up early on Sunday and was half daydreaming about the game. Just running it through my head over and over because I was so excited and couldn't sleep. Every scenario it seemed, I kept thinking Mahomes was going to throw 5 Tds just for the fact they had no one that could stop us. I predicted 3 TD's early in the week and then was dreaming he would throw 5 TD's.

Reality- Mahomes throws 6 Tds!! Even MORE, than I could dream up after running game simulations through my head for an hour. He is really playing beyond my wildest dreams!

Nobody thought Mahomes would rain TDs all over the Steelers in their house.

I dont care how you spin it, yesterday's win was a BIG ****ing win, for Mahomes especially. What a confidence booster. That along w/ experience is all he needs at this point, the rest seems to be already there.

I thought the Chiefs would get beat 38-28. So I was about as close to being right in terms of how many pts the D would allow. Didn't think Mahomes would throw for 6 ****ing TD's. Thought he might have a 250-300yd day with 2-3 TDs and possibly a pick.

He shredded PIT's defense. Made them all eat shit. What a different a QB makes. Alex Smith would've lost that game yesterday.

I dont expect him to have a game like that every week, and neither should anyone else. But damn, it certainly isn't out of the realm of possibility for this guy to throw for 40 TD's and 4500yds this yr....his first yr starting, 2nd yr total. That's insane. He doesn't look rattled, at times makes it look easy, he def passes the eye test.

As long as we stay healthy (on O) and we continue to spread the field and Mahomes can get time in the pocket, and the enemy lightens the box, and Wally gets time to scout and game-plan, there's really no reason why the Chiefs can't keep this level of aggression and execution, Mr. CoMoChief.

Those are a lot of things that need to go well, but we haven't really seen the freelancing version of Mahomes yet, either. Not really ... not the version we saw in Denver, for example.

We got this.

I really have a hard time picking KC until they beat the Steelers, particularly in Pittsburgh where they’ve not won since 1986. However, I’ve maintained the common denominator has been Alex Smith. KC would’ve beaten them in the playoffs and last season if he weren’t a pussy.

So, it’s a new QB era and this kid is a superstar. Let’s see him change the mindset vs Steelers. Bury their asses and that suck ass defense. Stuff Connor and not let him go off. I think this is a Hunt game. They gave up 177 yard vs the run to Cleveland and their young inexperienced OL.

Let’s get it Showtime

Chiefs 34
Steelers 32
Off by a bit on score but my line of thinking was close except for Hunt, which is fine. Save the wear and tear on him.
