Don't know if this is buried in another thread, but thought it deserved its own:

Here's some news: @SorenPetro and The Program will take over 810's afternoon slot on Monday. Don't know what they'll do with the 10-2 slot.

That was a weird footnote from KC radio history. IIRC, Renshaw would no show, then he had a long absence and came back talking about his issues and getting help (I think he said something about the transition to working mornings but also having to stay up late to watch games, and generally drinking too much, probably getting no sleep and going in still drunk). Then started disappearing again and was promptly replaced.

I love this hiring. Really liked his evening show back when he was doing that. 810 is better with him now.

What I heard of Petro this afternoon was boring. I like the guy but needs to step it up. The guy doing the midday today had that smoke n fire guy on lol he wont go away.

The midday guys were actually at one point giving shot by shot of the British Open. With cutaways of SSJ on a remote in Independence at a barber shop. He was handing out Schlotzsky's sandwiches though.
