Because the only thing I recall from his testimony to confessing to was taking the $5k that was handed to him and believing he was going to be given another $15k. No where did he admit to not playing to the best of his ability. Quite literally, if the player with the highest WPA in the series didn't admit to taking money while never being directly involved in any of the planning, no one would be questioning if he threw anything. The money is the only thing that brings anything into question. |
