and proudly drink one in public.

The Boston Beer Company and PepsiCo have teamed up to create an alcoholic Mountain Dew.

Hard Mountain Dew will be 5% ABV and its three flavors are expected to be on the shelves in early 2022.

“We know that adult drinkers’ tastes are evolving, and they are looking for new and exciting flavorful beverages. The combination of our experience in brewing and developing the best-tasting hard seltzers and hard teas, and MTN DEW, a one of kind multi-billion dollar brand, will deliver the excitement and refreshment that drinkers know and love,” said Dave Burwick, Boston Beer’s CEO, in a statement.

Images provided by the company show the drink will be available in two other flavors besides the original Mountain Dew flavor: Black Cherry and Watermelon. All three drinks claim to have “zero sugar.”

Boston Beer Company said the drinks will be “marketed to adults of legal age and merchandized consistently with other alcohol beverages.”

Boston Beer will develop and produce the new drink, called HARD MTN DEW, and PepsiCo “has set up a new entity to sell, deliver, and merchandise the product,” the statement said.

Coca-Cola also recently announced a partnership with Molson Coors Beverage and that it will be making Topco Chico Hard Seltzer, its first alcoholic beverage in decades in the U.S., CNBC reported.
