The age range of gamers is growing. I've been to a couples house who were in their 60s and they had an NES, SNES, WII, and a 360. They had me hook them all up to their new tv.

Is anyone else thinking of switching allegiances in the next gen console war? I know a lot of guys on here, it seems, have both now. Wondering if anyone who is loyal to one is considering switching. I have a PS3 now, at this point I doubt I'll jump into either one of these new consoles, but if I do, I haven't decided which one I'll get.

I just googled the question and found a bunch of stats that'll confirm what I assumed. first hit on google. Yea its 5 year old article but I doubt the numbers have changed dramatically.

I'll stick with PS if I go to the next gen.
I was burned WAY too badly with the 360 to even consider it. I know most people haven't had issues, and that's fine. but I went through 3 of them in about 13 months. Full, new replacement each time, but on the final new one, I sold it to a guy my wife works with and took the $ to get the PS3.

Which is probably more correct as the older you get the more responsibility you have and less time to play. |

Once the PS3 game prices drop I'll go back and grab some of the older titles recommended on here...

PS3 games won't be compatible with PS4.

And?
I'm in no hurry. I'LL WAIT AT LEAST A YEAR TO BUY A PS4 and instead take advantage of the price of PS3 games dropping.

your post read as if you were going to wait a year and purchase some cheap PS3 games to play on the PS4. At least, that was hot it read to me.

No, after the PS3/360 launches where there were problems with chips and numbers of units and format wars I decided to wait. Just like a new OS on the puter: give 'em a year to work out all the bugs and developers time to kick out some decent software/games...
