Gonna watch that corn movie tonight.
I'm fascinated by food documentaries. I'd like to see one about the European food industry. I'm sure it's even worse than America.

In France the food industry is very organic in the countryside. For instance most of the cheese/wine/pork/escargot production is made loacally. They have local farmers that supply the local grocery stores/restaraunts.

The corn movie was really, really boring. Only mildly interesting. It WAS interesting seeing how corn farmers would be ****ed if the Government didn't put them over the profit line, and it was also interesting seeing how corn is not even edible until it's been processed. That's actually kind of revolting. We're growing billions and billions of ears of corn in this country and it's not even edible right out of the ground.
I did enjoy them invading the old man's privacy at the end.

What you're thinking of is sweet corn that you get on the ear at the store. Farm grown sweet corn is ****ing amazing. I flat out can't eat it. Buy why can't you eat field corn? I have. I don't eat a lot, but it is definitely edible off the combine. Plus, you can take field corn in the hard dough stage and roast it like sweet corn and eat it too. I'm going to have to watch this corn movie. It sounds like it is full of shit. |

GoChiefs remarks about how there's a lot of corn grown in this country that's inedible w/o processing. I reply that there's plenty of edible corn still being grown Your reply to me, and your rhetoric suggests disapproval of my post, a sense of "you don't know what you're talking about, Reaper." So if my last post had a point it was to try and reclaim some ethos. |

The Ghost Writer has one of the best endings to a film I've seen in awhile.
Awesome.
