Off Season Lets Talk Guns
Been a while since we had a guns n' ammo discussion.
Some of you are AR shooters Im sure. Im looking at a Colt 6920. Will be my first AR. Picked up a Glock this fall and really enjoy shooting it. Any feedback on that weapon? Anyone else been in a buy/sell/trade mood with hardware? Part 2: http://www.chiefsplanet.com/BB/showthread.php?t=293623 Last edited by Bearcat; 07-28-2015 at 06:06 PM.. |

The wife and I spent the day shooting yesterday and ran 100 rounds through it without and problems and another 150 or so through my XD and the .22. My wife did about the same for her 24/7 .40 and the .22 when I was shooting the 709 and my XD. We were working with the Birmingham PD trainer at the range and discovered the benefit of sneaking some snap caps into the middle of the magazine. That's a great tool to tell if you're anticipating the recoil. |

For the AR lovers:
http://palmettostatearmory.com/ They use Wilson barrels, which are the same barrels that Rock River uses. The ability to custom build an entire rifle at their price point with quality parts is unreal. Bye, bye money. |

Any of you guys shoot the subsonic .22 ammo, for "urban hunting?" I just ordered some of this to try. I have some of the remington and its' alright, but this CCI quiet subsonic, only makes 1/4 the noise of a regular .22 LR.

Was thinking of picking up a Ruger SP101 in .357 for CCW. Anyone own one of these? I'm looking at the snub.

But hobos reside mostly in urban areas, where the quiet would be useful...

True, I guess if a hobo starts running his mouth when I'm zeroing in on Bugs Bunny, I can try them out.

I may have found my next toy.
The HK MP5 22lr. I'm wanting a .22 to plink with, maybe run some tiny courses with. Something where I can afford to shoot more often. That, or the 1911 .22 from ATI. |

Okay, which one of you guys is this? I've been looking into buying my first hand gun and I've found this guy to be pretty informative. He has several videos.

An NRA board member, whom I will refer to as a 'gun nut', one of thousands in many 'nut' capacities, was found by authorities to have committed over 900 violations of the law including an inability to account for over 400 weapons he was responsible for. A person with a gun is 2.7 times more likely to at some point be involved somehow in a murder. Over 40% of people with dementia have a gun in their own...sweet dreams bubba. Every day, childen are killed as a result of irresponsible actions of the 'gun nut'.
Let's talk sensible gun control for a change. Now...you watch...the gun nuts will fall out of the woodwork as they lose composure as they always do. |
