Game of Thrones *Spoiler* Thread
There's been some recent confusion with the old spoiler thread, so I'm kicking off a new one for tonight's premiere. This is going to be the one for folks who've read all the books. So anything anybody might want to talk about is in bounds. Suffice to say, if you haven't read the books, you'll probably want to stay out of here until you do...
I'll bump the old spoiler-free thread shortly in case anybody's interested. For future reference the link to that one is here |

Most popular show on cable gets the green light for more shows. I'm shocked.

Hell of an episode. Left me wanting more... like right now. First GoT cliff hanger?
Also, that ep was really short. Like 52 minutes. |

I'm gonna miss Oberyn when he goes. Cool character... and love the actor. Hopefully it's an epic battle.

That was a kick ass episode. Tyrion's speech was just fantastic. Even though all of us know just how he is being set up, it was still painful to listen to the testimonies, especially Shae's. I'm with KCMizzou - I wanted about three more episodes to watch immediately.
Next week - The Mountain that Rides. |

Put this in the spoiler thread as technically it's not in the show itself, but I liked the subtle smudging/darkening of Tyrion's nose as a nod to the fact it was removed in the Battle of Blackwater.

Ok, what is everyone's opinion on how they are turning Stannis' storyline? I'm intrigued with the direction they're taking it - trying to undercut the Lannisters with the backing of the Iron Bank is shrewd as hell, and they've given him a puncher's chance at succeeding now that Casterly Rock is effectively out of gold. But how will it affect his battle at the Wall with Mance, if at all?
And the attack on the Dreadfort by Yara seemed to be just wasted story telling. Paddle in, kill some guys, see Theon freak out, leave when Ramsay invites her to, paddle out pissed off at Theon. WTF? |

Had to make this after my boner for Tyrion grew three sizes last night.

That scene was just absolutely perfect. Dance and Dinklage crushed it. You could feel the hate between those two characters. And for as much tinkering as they're doing to the storylines, that scene was straight from the books, almost verbatim. One of the best scenes of the series so far. |
