This defense is outstanding. When they have an off day, can Alex compensate?

Not whining. But in two weeks, Alex has been serviceable. Treating him as anything else is silly.

This team wins because of defense. Period.

Monolith just sums up the Alice Smiff homers, jizzing all over themselves after only two regular-season wins.

I'm sure his 4 TDs must have helped, no?

I'll cop to this. I definitely underestimated the defense. Poe has been a huge factor in this team going 2-0.

Its never going to be because of Alex Smith how many games and how far the Chiefs go. He will be a part of the team. Hes not an elite qb. but he does help make other parts of the team better.

Can we call off this stupid bet now?

He hasn't been dazzling, but the defense didn't throw those two touchdowns and avoid throwing any picks, Alex did.

You cant say its all defense... 223 yards, 2td, Oint... that's a winning line.

Yep. Alex is basically an upgraded 2010 Matt Cassel.

And before everybody starts bitching about that, I will say that Alex manages the game very well, has great intangibles, etc But he just doesn't take chances or throws the ball down the field at all. It is all short, intermediate safe passes and if he senses any rush he starts getting happy feet.
