Pats Cheating Comfirmed

According to the report, the league sources say the NFL determined 11 of the 12 footballs used by the Patriots were under-inflated by two pounds per square inch each. Per NFL rules, footballs are required to be inflated between 12.5 and 13.5 PSI and weigh between 14 and 15 ounces.

Totally expected because spygate and national hatred/tiredness of a team that always, always cheats, sometimes gets caught, and act like smug, superior douchebags from ownership down to the fanbase.

Funny also that we used a slow, non-fumbling plodder of a RB for some of those years. Funny also that Belichick benches anyone who fumbles, even if they are clearly more "talented" than other guys on the roster (Stevan Ridely).

Funny that the stories of Belichick making the balls difficult to handle in practice are legendary.

Could it be all those plus deflation? Sure, it's possible.

But again, if you saw Belichick's presser yesterday, you saw something that he never did before -- met the charges head on with flat denials. No deflection or evasion. No "go ask the NFL". Just bulldozed through it with flat out denials.
Flat out denials?

I've never talked to anyone about air pressure and you should probably talk to Tom Brady about that. Yep....flat out denials.

I'll bet the balls will be full of air, but I think the Pats "strategy" division has some other "tricks" up their sleeve.

Yes. Did the coach de-emphasize fumbling so he wasn't as focused on it? Was he just a bit lucky with the Patriots, and a bit unlucky with the Bengals? Was it a deflated ball? Was it all of the above?

I dont' know where the Bengals fall on this chart. Does Marvin Lewis bench players for fumbling? Does he mess with the balls during practice to make them harder to carry? Does he preach ball security endlessly?

Yeah, I'm sure Marvin Lewis encourages fumbling. Hell, I bet they run fumbling drills at practice! We all know how every coach other than the "genius" Belicheat thinks that giving the ball away to the other team is a good thing!

Read this on a blog or something. Don't know about its accuracy, but if true, makes me think this cheating story is even more reeruned than I previously thought.

"The difference in indentation he can make is 1.5 mm, it's literally impossible, even for the best of quarterbacks to notice that difference.
The difference in weight is 1.5 g, which is the weight of a dollar bill. The human arm can barely recognize the difference between 1.5 and 2 kg without reference, how would it recognize this?

The rain affected the weight of the ball a few dozen times more than the lack of air, BTW.
And to top it off, the ball is slower, too.

Other than these, you mean:

I could tell you that in my entire coaching career I have never talked to any player, staff member about football air pressure.
Quote:
I have no explanation for what happened.
Quote:
Based on what I knew Sunday, Sunday night, thinking back on this, which I've done several times, [I] really can't think of anything that I would have done differently, based on what I knew then, based on what I know now. I told you the one change we would make in the initial start level of the football pressure, but that's really about it.
Quote:
Well as I said, I've learned a lot about the process. I had no idea how the balls got from the officials locker room down on the field and so forth and so on and all of that. That's not something I have ever thought or concerned myself about [on] game day. I've concerned myself with preparing and coaching the team. So some of the things like that that have been talked about, that have happened, I mean, I'm totally unaware of.

There is a significant difference in the feel of ball that is 2PSI under inflated. If there wasn't there would be no reason to have a minimum and maximum range.
