***Official Knowmo2724 homer-2000 thread***

Very few non-bronco fans can tolerate him. he creates inane threads that are homeristic in nature (his avatar is very apropos), and nobody loves him (not even his own mother)

'face, this can be the home for all knowmo threads so we aren't treated to the bi-weekly steaming 'presents' left by the front door.

Sadly, he dominated right out of the gate (reg season and post season) and then Brian Griese ended it...

PH definitely has him on the TD #'s and was more of a receiving threat too (from a yards perspective). Interestingly though, Priest had a few more years of production, but maybe a 1K more rushing yards total.

Same number of pro bowls... fewer accomplishments. But, he has more TDs, so he's got that going for him.

That's pretty rich, but not a surprise that you feel that way.

Priest was a back up 3 of the 4 yrs he was in Baltimore. He had the injuries issues late in his career here. Both had a career 4.6 ypc.

A lot of what made TD great is what he did in the playoffs. There has never been a more dominant playoff performer at the RB position than TD. He averaged over 150 yards per playoff game, his migraine game in Super Bowl 32 is legendary. The guy was an all time great.

HOF voters ask themselves, "Can you tell the story of the history of the NFL without mentioning _______ ________'s name?" With TD, the answer is no. With Priest Holmes the answer is yes. TD certainly deserves the HOF over a guy like Curtis Martin.

it would be more accurate to compare those players' best four year stretches against terrell davis, honestly. also, that blocking scheme made guys far more than they really were--olandis gary and mike anderson say 'hey.'
Even if that is true, TD would probably have an even better shot at the HOF if he played 5 more years where he averaged 800-1000 yards a season. The HOF doesn't have to be about longterm accumulation of stats. TD was one of the best to ever do it from the moment he stepped onto the field.

If I asked you after Super Bowl 32 if you thought TD would be a HOF'er you would say yes, and you would probably say he would make it in on the first ballot. The dudes body gave up on him.

Four years of absolute dominance with even better playoff and Super Bowl performances should make TD a lock.
