Movies

Yeah, so I saw a lot of movies this weekend.

Elizabeth: The Golden Age - Mediocre, at best. Slow and dragged on. Shorten it to 2 hours and it's golden. It's not, so it fails.

Michael Clayton - Amazing. Everything about it is awesome. However, it's VERY complex and mind bending. You have to think, so be prepared. I still feel like I'm missing key details of exactly what happened. Gotta see it again.

Across the Universe - Perfect is one word that comes to mind. It just works. And, contrary to many people I bet, the movie is best viewed sober. Trust me.

I could of given Heist a 7 or maybe even an 8 if it knew when to end. The actual robbery at the airport was great but David Memet had too many double-crosses and dragged out the ending way too long. Plus, the good guy should also get the girl and not just the gold as in this case. I noticed that about Memet, he's a great writer but not a good director.

Halloween II

I enjoyed it. Stayed true to the stalk n slash. Camera work was superb and I appreciated the slow mo. However, your wife doesn't need to be in every movie brah, it didn't belong and came across as silly too me. Put that shit to bed. Those parts of the movie reminded me of NPH and his unicorn scene from Harold and Kumar.

All in all though, thumbs up.

The last couple of movies I watched were The Fall, Chop Shop, and Frozen River. I liked both Chop Shop and Frozen River. The Fall was ok, a little to fantastical type stuff for me. Frozen River I thought was very good. It's not a fun time popcorn movie though. A bit depressing at parts, but very good.

I agree...I thought it was well done and the violence was really as it should have been in his first one. The Sheri Moon stuff didn't really bother me all that much since I think it was done to "fill in" someone that doesn't know the story.

I also liked how he didn't wear the mask 24/7 and only when he killed...that to me made him more believable as a "character" than just "the shape".

just my .02

Two thumbs up as well...

~the part with the little kid tricker/treating was freak'n creepy as hell.~

Behind The Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon is a freaking hilarious parody of slasher flicks. Well acted. One of the funniest films I have seen in a while.

Meh. It kept me entertained, kind of. The science/religion undertone was an Epic Fail.

I saw Man Push Cart. Very cool. Thought it was a documentary until half an hour in. The Visitor was also very good.

It's the "hair", right?

My daughter at 2 months had better hair than Cage.
