Or hey someone should pimp out the try hard dudes who suck. This market really doesn't like anyone who doesn't just show up and be a lunchpail dude, it's lame but I guess it's the midwest.

It’s for sure Midwest chiefs fan.

At least Marcus Peters appears to give a shit.

The bigger story is Justin Houston not playing up to his $130 million contract.

Houston is another bad signing.

Why is it that Gaines and Mitchell are eligible for benching because of bad performance but the most important position on offense is absolved?

It doesn't excuse Peters acting like a petulant teenager on the field, but I could at least understand why he's pissed off if that's truly the reason.

Really, they ****ed up going in to the season with Mahomes on the active roster and then making him the #2 if the cause for strife in the locker room is because of some guys being pissed off Smith isn't being held to the same standard of accountability as the defensive guys are held to.

He isn't getting a pass. I think everyone is saying he needs an attitude adjustment and that if he doesn't tone it down, we need to evaluate our future with him. But Kelce has done dumb shit like this all the time too and I think he needs an attitude adjustment too. And his mistakes have been more costly. Doesn't mean I'm going to exaggerate how bad of a player he is. As Snr said, it's clear people can't separate hating the guy from hating his play on the field.

Yeah the QB with #2 QB Rating in the NFL is being held to a low standard.... Bench him!

He's regressed this year. Couple that with his antics and you have a recipe for being disliked. I don't want him gone. I don't care that much about his antics, but they are quite annoying at times.

I can't think of a single player that has performed better this year compared to last. Maybe Tyreek and possibly Kelce. Smith at times. The rest is a shit show.

The Chiefs had the right idea with drafting character guys like Berry, Houston, DJ - then you can take a flyer on a guy like Peters in hopes he gets reigned in by the others. The problem comes when the others are injured, old, ineffective - their leadership impact wanes.

Think of how much the Royals played above their talent level. Stat nerds tend to disqualify "good locker room" because there's no way to quantify it. And it probably does get thrown about too liberally by dipshit pundits.

But - everyone agrees the Royals had a GREAT locker room. Those guys loved each other. And if there was some way to magically quantify it I'd bet it was worth at least 5 wins, and especially valuable in the playoffs. I'd compare the Peters situation to Yordano. Some of the Yordy blowups are actually pretty similar if you think about it. Except there's no Moose running in from 3rd to corrall him and drag him off the field.

It also makes a team much more fun to root for when they obviously love each other and are having fun. Peters' regular blowups make him kinda hard to root for even when we're winning.

I am not defending peters but really throwing the flag had like no affect. The holding was going to give them another chance anyways. **** it the same situation comes up throw the flag AGAIN into the stands it's basically a freebie if you don't get tossed.

Apart from tackling, he has not regressed as much as you'd like him to have. That's the point. Separate performance from how much you like him. From a coverage standpoint, you have a ball hawking cb whose strength is taking advantage of mistakes - great in coverage, but lockdown? Probably not. There's no pressure up front so qbs don't make mistakes, he's asked to cover often for well more than 5 seconds, has no safety help whatsoever, and he's playing within a completely ineffective third down scheme that continually has him playing with an insane amount of cushion.

A lot of the regression is in people's heads. He isn't playing as well as in previous years, but there are a lot of much much bigger regressions on this team and especially the defense.

Lay off the crack pipe. He was a top 5 CB last year, he isn't even ranked in the top 30 this year
