Would you like me to step down as a moderator of Chiefsplanet?

You guys essentially voted me into this role. I wanted it. I thought I would be a good fit for the role. I've always been a mediator in life. Essentially, becoming a moderator has affected my enjoyment of this site. If you've paid attention, you'll know that I don't post here nearly as often as I used too. In fact, I've noticed that's the case with all of the current moderators, and former moderators as well.

That said, I still am here daily. I read your posts, and do my best to clean up the spam, and handle the behind the scenes issues that go on with the site every day. I don't want to step down, but the fact is, I'm aware that some folks are unhappy with the way that I've handled certain situations. I'll admit it, there have been times that my emotions have affected my decisions. That's not a good thing. I've done some long and hard thinking, and decided that I cannot make snap decisions when someone pisses me off. I'm not sure there's a moderator in the history of this site that hasn't done that at one time or another though. Ultimately, I believe that I'm still a good fit for this job, and I know Kyle is satisfied with my performance to this point.

That said, I've always believed this site is all about it's user base. No, it's not a democracy. It's a free board paid for by Kyle. But it doesn't exist without you guys coming here and posting. You are the life blood of Chiefsplanet, and you are the ones that have made it the very best message board for not only the Kansas City Chiefs, but in my opinion, the entire internet.

When I came here 9 years ago this month, I had zero experience with online communities. Chiefsplanet was the first board I'd ever joined. Since then, I still have never joined another online community. Growing up in Seattle, it was amazing for me to be able to connect with a group of people that were as passionate as I was about the Chiefs. I love this place. No, it's not what it was too me, but I don't see myself ever just walking away from the board. I may not post as much, but I always read it. You guys are ****ing hilarious. I throw a bone in there once in a while myself.

Enough rambling. I'm putting my head on the chopping block. I haven't brought this up to the other mods, or Kyle. This is my decision to make, and mine alone. If you're satisfied with my work, then vote yes. Keep me on as a mod. If not, vote no. I'm a big boy. I can take it if you don't like my style. It will be a public vote for obvious reasons. No harm, no foul regardless of your take. We can still be friends, even if you don't like me as a moderator. I won't take it personal. This poll will be open all weekend, and close early Monday morning.

It's your call. Your voice. Your will on whether or not I will continue to moderate here at Chiefsplanet. Make your voice heard.

Thanks. It is too bad this has happened. Have you guys ever talked to Kyle about this out of curiosity?

If you tell one more person that they should go elsewhere for any reason at all, you'll have to go there. You're almost universally disliked and you're at least partially culpable for some of this garbage going on, despite the fact Tim went absolutely whacko. So kindly SHUT UP.

The same group of posters continually nip at me, and when I go back at them now that's somehow out of line?

makes sense.

I find it funny/sad how KC native tries to force himself to be a topic in these types of discussions.

Dude, you have 15000 posts here. You're a problem child. Every time shit hits the fan in D.C. you're right there in the middle of it. You sling the race card around so often that it's become a joke. You've not proven to be an asset here. Show me some contribution you've made to this site that is devoid of controversy.

You're very skilled in trolling but that's not really funny to anybody except you. Link me to anything that a reasonable person would consider a quality thread started by and regularly conversed by you and I'll change my mind. Just show me one. Any one.

Thats why I'm posting on the hub. But, again, I don't want the mods to change the way they mod the planet.

I liked the fact I was invited to participate over there & so far it's been a delight.

I also like it here and plan on posting on both that I have friends from both communities and don't want to take sides.

I think there is just so much testosterone going on that people are short tempered and can't get along any more.

No one is offering forgiveness & the mods are just to blame as the posters who the mods get angry with. It's both sides to blame not one person or poster or mod or mods.

So much testosterone going on that no one is willing to budge. It's pretty pathetic to watch all the hate going on. It's pretty sad when I got friends that hate each other. Shameful.

But the flipside is that all this started because a couple long time members abused people via rep. Pretty fun, eh?

This thread delivers

Personally, I find KC native annoying in DC but it's just political stuff. I am sure in real life he's a decent guy as is fraz. I can't really blame Native for blasting back after some of the insults he takes. I realize that my life context is different than his, and 'just put them on ignore' might be my reaction to it but the racial stuff might be kind of a question of honor to him where he feels obligated not to take it lying down.

The internet turns a lot of us into different people sometimes, and not in a good way. I have seen it in myself too.
