Push button start cars and cold weather
I am going to ramble through this.

It is going to be cold. ****ing Cold.
New cars have a push button start-will they always start???
How to you "crank them" if they do not right away.
Fewer cars have heat plugs today. Was told they are not really needed.

Just want my wifes car to be ok since she has to work tomorrow.
My truck still has a key and remote start.. I have to go in even though school was closed.

Not necessarily. On my Mustang once you open the door and get in the car (with the fob etc) you can play with the radio all you want.

My wife's Subaru is push button start, I'm pretty sure it's the same way?

Closing classes is not that big of a deal with online learning. Lessons and assignments can be done on the computer.

It will still not replace teachers.

I have 2 push button starters now and have owned 2 others - 1 Ford, 1 GMC, 1 Toyota, and 1 Nissan. In all 4 cases, if you press the start button with the brake pressed, it starts the engine. If you press the start button WITHOUT the brake pressed, it turns on accessories but doesn't start the engine.

I was working in the garage this evening so the cars have been outside. Just went out to pull them in, and they both struggled to start. Came back in and looked at my phone and it's currently -9 right now.

We rarely see below zero here in Pigsknuckle, and when we do, it's normally only a degree or two. I don't recall very many times, if any, we've hit double digit negatives. Mother**** this shit.

It should go to ACC mode if you aren't pressing the brake when you push the button

The actual temp right now is -20F. At least the wind has subsided a bit, the wind chill is only -29F.
