Lunch pale, eh?

Zero percent chance you’re actually an accredited shrink.

The backup tackles on this roster are roooough. And tackle isn't a position where you can plug and play a 2nd or 3rd rounder all that often. So if you grab one now with a year or two to season him, you can have someone ready to actually step in and play come 2020 if the need arises.
Yeah, they def need to start planning for that.

Pretty crazy what the Pats have done at LT this year. Let Soldier walk, drafted a guy in the first round who tears his achilles, then grab someone and throw him in there and go there merry way.

I'd have no problem with them grabbing an OT with their 3rd rounder this year.

Someone like Andre Dillard out of Washington State.

Guess it depends on what you mean by "sit." I was thinking of that as "who loses their starting spot" rather than "who won't be active."

For me, I'd say that the line stays the same for the AFCCG with LDT available for depth. I'd consider moving Wylie to LG and slotting LDT back in at RG, but with only two games left, I think it's an "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" thing for me.

At G and C.

Yea, it’s not as good at OT, but we legitimately have 3 guys (Erving, Wylie, and Allen) that can fill in there too.

It's definitely a good problem to have. And, next year looks to be even better. I think that everyone on the line except Morse is locked up, plus we have McKenzie being groomed at guard as well. If that project pans out, he could really plow some running lanes. I would assume that Morse walks, leaving open competition between Reiter and Devey for that spot. The loser will be great depth. I don't know who the starting guard will be opposite of LDT. Wylie and Erving are both deserving. Again, the loser plus McKenzie are great depth. A backup tackle would be nice, but I think that Wylie and Erving would be fine. I actually wouldn't be surprised if the Chiefs wind up trading an offensive lineman in the off-season for defensive help like we did when we traded Ehinger for Ward.

The thing is, your left tackle isn't coming out of the 3rd round. Look around the league at the good teams, including the Chiefs.

I'm going to type this and then go thoroughly wash my hands...

With all of the other needs this team has in the draft, locking up Eric Fisher was probably pretty smart. In fact, they should probably look to have him finish his career here. Left tackles are hard to find.

There, I said it. BRB.

Pretty sure he would.

A few years back, I used to drink beers with a guy that was on Tampa Bays practice squad. He was released sometime mid-season and they still gave him a ring. He never signed with anyone else, but he's got the jewelry to prove he was with the team.

LDT is good enough that I'd want to move Wylie to LG and bench Erving to get him in there... but then again, I don't know SHIT!!!!!!

I agree. That line has been doing a great job lately. But, God forbid, Erving or Wiley go down, I would rather have LDT available to step in.
