*****Official: Scorch The Earth-Rep and Poll Thread*****

It is done.

It HAD to be done.

The last weight of failure has been lifted from our long-burdened shoulders. Gather 'round the ol' CP camp fire and get your rep on for the departure of the old, and the inauguration of the new!

This is also an opportunity for you to TRULY test your armchair GM skills against the Chiefs. I invite you to put your talent evaluation, contract negotiation, and balls of steel on the table, and let's find out a year from now if you truly have the ability to read the tea leaves and set a more productive course for this team.

As for me, I've never seen the Chiefs be so productive and proactive in my entire time as a fan. If you would have told me that we would enter this off season doing everything I wanted to see done for this team going forward after the AFCCG loss, I would not have believed you. To say the least.

As I sit here at my desk with zero pessimism after damned near two decades of Chiefs football, I have to ask myself; is this what football Zen feels like? And if it is, will I be able to survive it? After all, I and many others absolutely thrive on strife and confrontation in this realm. Someone once said, "once the Chiefs draft a QB, you'll just find something new to bitch about". But, I'm running out of ammo here folks! This is one hell of a ride.

( Be advised that poll results are public )

Houston, Ford, Berry, and now likely Allen Bailey. It’s a complete overhaul and entirely contingent on the ability of Brett Veach to draft impact players in April. Reality is that the defense will likely suck again in 2019, but these moves had to be made.

But, he's 30 and overpaid so I get it.

We're going to be young and fast on defense. If Spags brings the fire, scheme and aggressiveness and coaches up the players we'll be better.
Couldn't have said it better so I'll just quote it.

The defense was a tooth cavity.

You have to drill it out to repair it.

When I think of last year's _efense, I'm reminded of Todd Haley's "11 guys off the street" quip. Could 11 guys off the ****ing street have done much worse last year?

All the big money, big talk, disappeared when we needed them most, broke dick, overrated, lined up offsides assholes have been purged. **** 'em. Nowhere to go but up.

While Ford's gaffe was not the only reason we lost the AFCCG, I agree with you on everything else.
I don't think everything should be laid at Veach's feet. I'm pretty sure there were some come to Jesus meetings that lead to Sutton and most of the D staff being canned. I'm sure Andy and Spags opened more than 1 bottle of Diet Coke while looking at film and seeing who fit and who didn't in the new D. Now it's up to the brain trust at 1 Arrowhead to figure out where the money should be spent and who to draft.

Are you kidding??? That's the fun part!
