Jordan dominated his era. He threepeated twice (most likely would have been 8 straight if he hadn't retired). He was the man to beat for an entire decade.

Lebron hasn't dominated his era. He's not even above .500 in finals appearances. The 3 teams he beat, 2 of them either beat him the year before or year after

I guess if you live in Ohio you have to grasp at something.

Jordan also played when they played defense and there were more than 2 good teams.

Absolutely.

Think about how many hall of famers Jordan denied rings: Stockton, Malone, Barkley, Ewing, Payton and the list goes on and on.

Just pure dominance

MJ is the most successful but he was not the force James is. Scoring, assists and rebounds James is the best ever. No one player has ever been this good at all three.

Jordan was a killer but James beats teams in more ways on both ends of the floor.

I lived in Colorado for 13 years. I would definitely rather live out there. Sorry you feel you have to resort to insults because LeBron is passing your idol. Have a great remainder of your day.

Jordan never beat a team as good as the Warrior team LeBron beat last year.

Well there was Malone and also Hornacek. I don't watch much NBA anymore, so I can't debate how well they stack up to the Warriors of last year. But that Utah team in 98 WAS a pretty damn good team.

I'm not rehashing the argument for the 100th time, but where these Jordan/LeBron arguments go haywire is you guys way, way underrate the guys Jordan played against. I agree the talent level in the league now is absolutely better... but people try to act like Jordan played against no one, some of these HOF guys, Stockton, Drexler, Malone, were legit greats who never won a title because of Jordan.

John Stockton is in the discussion for best PG of all time. All time legend. You put him out there today with no hand check and it would be something. You couldn't even stop the pick and roll against him in the old days, you put him out there now and he'd brutalize you.

Gary Payton, who is one of the best defensive guards ever, is on record saying that John Stockton was the most difficult player he ever had to guard. Even harder than Michael Jordan.

The West was weak at that point. It was before Shaq and Kobe established themselves, before Duncan matured, after Robinson, Hakeem, and Barkley's primes.

The best team the Bulls played in the Finals was the '93 Suns.
