We know food prices are rising fast. Have you changed what/where you buy?

Have you moved from beef to pork to chicken?

Do you substitute items that you used to buy for something else?

We shop for deals. We found bacon for 2.99 yesterday at Hyvee so we stocked up. We found Chicken Breasts for 2.50 a pound. etc.

Also, I don't remember the last time I've bought a ribeye. At best, I'll get a NY strip steak but I've started eating more sirloins lately, which you can still find for pretty good prices.

We are also more vigilant with eating leftovers. I've never been a big leftover person but it gets hard throwing food away.

I started working from home mostly, so our grocery bills have gone up because I eat most of my meals at home now. I do HyVee mostly, try to rack up gas points to help with gas prices. Also since I'm not driving 65 miles round trip to work a day I don't burn nearly as much gas. I can get through a month with two fill ups now, used to be about five. With gas points I paid $1.95 a gallon on my last fill. I bring the car in on fumes and fill as much as I can. I also check specials. Had my first steak in a long time last week. Doing a lot of ham and chicken and ground beef. My friend Mr. Doggity hickory smoked a bone in ham for me after Easter. I carved it down into cryovac packages for individual meals, and got about six meals off of just that one ham. Little things like that go a long way. Also, I'm feeling better and have lost a little weight from eating healthier. One other tip: Casey's accepts HyVee gas points. So when I'm needing to buy gas, I go to HyVee, buy a $50 gift card to Casey's. That gives you $.10 cents a gallon bonus. Then cash the points and buy the gas at Casey's. If you can squeeze 17 gallons you'll save $1.70 on a fill up just by doing this.
