I think Brett Veach is a football nerd. But I mean it in a good way. He loves it and is always thinking about it.

Carl Peterson was thinking about how he looked in his black leather coat and his next vacation and how important he was.

Scott Pioli was wondering how soon he could get back to the New England Patriots and who put the candy wrapper on the stairs.

John Dorsey, when he was thinking, was wondering what he should do next and if he needed to go get Andy Reid a hamburger.

several reasons. Watch a AA interview (or at least a few seconds of one) definitely very similar in about every sense of the word.

Weíre definitely going to spend big money on a DE or WR next year.
Heís like that in every interview heís done.

He did seem slightly anxious when he mentioned the young players and possible growing pains.

Andy is going to do what Andy wants to do. It will be an entertaining and fun season and we will see if the offense changes.
I agree with the gist of this. I do think, however, that it is entirely possible that AR is on board with the idea of running more, knows he needs to run the ball more and actually will make an initial effort to do so. But, ultimately heíll revert to type. Itís just who he is.

Hope Iím wrong and the old is actually going to learn a new trick but, I ainít about to put any money on it.

I don't think he's on board with running more. I think he's on board with the idea that linebackers don't bite on play action against us, and you have to punish them for that. It's found money.

The other person who needs to do that is Mahomes when they are running RPOs.

I thought he was surprisingly frank and honest.

They thought they could sign Hill, then they couldn't, they had to change course in a short amount of time and did a solid job.

I don't know if they picked the absolute best players they could have but they picked a whole lot of good players. There's a lot of potential in this draft class and this is likely the best job of getting value in the draft in the last 15 years.

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).
