The one I can't get out of my head this season isn't even NFL, but Urinating Tree uses it for 'Tank Bowl' references every week, and every week it cracks me up.

One of my coworkers uses the Fox theme as the ringtone for her husband. Every time he calls I think it’s time to watch football. Those themes are very effective.

So it seems to me that this is really about "triggers".

It isn't about the theme song so much as it is about the unconscious effect of signaling football. Kind of like a dog whistle rather than a song.

That's kind of cool in a way and it seems that is how we end up with such a varied discussion not only in terms of the 4 modern themes but also many of the older themes mentioned here is well.

Nostalgia appears to be a very key component in this which I admittedly underestimated because I'm not really nostalgic, really at all.
