My cat died
This ****ing sucks. Was sitting outside and a neighbor told me that he saw it dead in the street on Wensday. Never thought losing a pet would be this sad.

I had a cat in a small town that was an indoor/outdoor cat from the time that it was about a year old.Used to knock on the screen door when he wanted back in.

Yup thats how mine was. A few months ago he disappeared for a few days and I was worried. This time he was gone for a few days and I wasnt worried go figure

I have some friends who have a cat that's probably older than that who is an indoor/outdoor. Some certainly defy the odds.

Heh. My aunt has a similar cat.

One weekend I had a wedding in Lawrence, so I went to stay with her. She was out of town, but my cousin was home. I get there and get a text message from my cousin saying I should let myself in and could I please let out the dog. So I do. And SHOOOM! Out goes the cat. I'm currently operating under the assumption that the cat is an indoor cat (Lawrence afterall) and I just ****ed up bad. So wife and I go trapsing through the back alleys of Lawrence with my ****ing flashlight chasing this cat. I was shining my flashlight in people's back yards. I'm surprised I'm not in jail. Anyway we chase this thing for like half an hour and it finally goes back in. Please note that we did nothing to get the cat back in, it decided it was time.

So I tell my cousin about it and she says it goes out all the time. No big deal

That cat is probably 10 also.

I've had the misfortune to run over two cats in my life. Both were tire shots, and I didn't have time to brake or swerve or anything - I just saw the flash of fur and felt the double bump. Absolutely nothing I could do in either case. Sure felt like shit over it, though. Still do.
