Explain to me why the Chiefs should spend a third round pick on yet another 5'9 cornerback, especially after signing Sean Smith and Dunta Robinson in free agency and why they need yet another tackle with Stephenson, Albert, Allen and Schwartz on the roster.

Por Favor.
First off you can never have enough dbs when your in the divison with the Broncos. Plus Robinson might be the FS. So after Smith and Flowers its just Arenas and Brown. Id rather have Mathieu over Brown.

Albert and Stephenson are my predictions for starting tackles next year. Schwartz can play anywhere but would rather play guard. He and Allen could battle it out for the starting LG. After Albert and Stephenson tell me who our backup tackles are..

Chiefs aren't drafting Geno Smith. I don't care if TBG got his inside information from Reid while he was blowing him.

It just isn't happening. Chiefs are taking Joeckel, Jaguars are taking Jordan. Bookmarked for eternity.

The Chiefs have enough starting CB's and only ONE ILB in Derrick Johnson. That should be their focus in the third, not yet another CB.

Schwartz isn't a left guard, he's a right guard/right tackle. If he starts at right guard, Asamoah is as good as gone in 2014.

The current backup/swing tackle should be Jeff Allen. He's got much further to go than Stephenson, even though he was taken one full round ahead of him.

How are you so sure?? Couple years ago the Eagles traded up and Schefter and everybody said they were drafting Earl Thomas. Come draft day they drafted Brandon Graham.

Asamoah is a bright spot on our line. Reid says he values LT and RT the same. Whos to say he doesnt value LG and RG the same.

Hypothetical: You're the Chiefs' GM. You have a proven left tackle that has been cleared to play by your medical staff, and you franchise tag him.

Question - Why do you trade the proven commodity for a rookie that may or may not pan out?

He said the reason Reid wanted Alex is because they felt this roster was ready to win day 1 and that he wanted to give veterans on the squad (Hali, DJ, Charles) a fighting chance for success. He said they didn't feel Geno could come in this year and win with this team that he's just not ready. The morale of the team was terrible at the end of last year and they didn't want another pathetic season because they are trying to break this losing culture. That Alex Smith had a lot to do with trying to right the ship immediately.

Now all of this just could be team speak and they really just want to drive up the value, but it's what I was told. Believe it, don't believe it, it's all the same to me.
it's as hard as a diamond in an icestorm.
