Off Season Lets Talk Guns

Been a while since we had a guns n' ammo discussion.

Some of you are AR shooters Im sure. Im looking at a Colt 6920. Will be my first AR. Picked up a Glock this fall and really enjoy shooting it. Any feedback on that weapon?

Anyone else been in a buy/sell/trade mood with hardware?

It the grip does make a big difference. And it's not like they're expensive.

Finally got around to putting the bump fire stock on my AR today. Headed to Missouri tomorrow to shoot it for the first time.

Well, this goddamn thing was a resounding flop. I guess there's some knack to using it I didn't have enough ammo with it to master, but I never could make it rapid fire like the video. Not amused - at all. The AK itself was great, but as for the stock, I don't even know if I'll leave it on the rifle.

Got to shoot my cousin's Desert Eagle .44. That was a blast. I figured it was kick like a mule, but it really didn't. And unfortunately, I'm kind of wanting one now......

I'm having a real hard time finding a good reason why not to pick this up as my CC.

http://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/p...tol+wMatte+Fin

Almost every review I have read on this has been sterling, it is inexpensive, carries a lifetime warranty, and unlike the similar Kel-Tec and Ruger... the slide locks when the magazine is empty.

Thoughts?

The .44 version is pretty tame, the .50AE with about 50% more power...kicks a bit more!

The cool thing about the Desert Eagle pistols is that no matter what version you buy (.357, .44 or .50) you can change them to whatever caliber you want. So if you buy the .357 and want to change it to a .50 you can.

Yes but for the .44 and .50AE all you need is a barrel and magazine change. The .357 requires a different bolt too because of the bolt face.

I love those. I had a raccoon give birth to a litter of 5 in the crawl space under my house last week. I set up a live trap by the entrance and caught the mom. The babies all huddled around the cage and I just picked them off from my window about 15 feet away. Went out, shot the mom and dumped them in the woods behind my house.

I got a cheap little nylon case for it. I was reading through some reviews though and found that KelTec makes a clip that attaches to the sidearm.

When I wear through the nylon case, I will likely pick this up.
