Let's talk about the Steelers

And how we are going to destroy them.

To think they beat up the Chiefs enough to lose the next one. Is plenty motivation.

The idea that we play down to opponents or come out flat against underdogs has some merit in the regular season, but it is absolutely not true in the postseason.
Yea I think people just go with whatever narrative they have made up in their mind.

Had Mahomes not gotten hurt there wouldn't be a playoff game that we were sweating at the end aside from SB's.

Playing hard doesn't matter when you are overmatched and undertalented.

This sounds like the guy who talks about they can fight because when they get mad they see red and just kick ass.

Then they fight someone with just a little bit of training and get their ass kicked.

The whole "The Chiefs struggled with the Broncos" nonsense is just that: nonsense. Week 17 was nutty. You had Indy getting knocked out of the playoffs by the Jags, The Chargers screwing up the tie that would have gotten them into the playoffs, Miami demolishing NE (again), Titans struggled with the Texans, Browns knocked off Cincy, Seahawks beat the Cards...

Don’t forget that the Bills struggled with the Jets for most of the game.

I legit think that the defense as a whole made a business decision with that field. If they go all out....someone is getting hurt.

Clearly this is blasphemous thinking, but Ben is done (complete noodle arm), and I think Tomlin will do just about anything for a win. Just a thought.
Without an injury...zero chance of that. That is not Mike Tomlin at all...zero chance.

Anybody who looked at the facts behind the media hype knows that Ben did not rape or assault either woman. He was guilty of juvenile, boorish behavior. He was arrogant, and had a libertine attitude...but he was not guilty of crimes. Ben fell prey to the adulation and acted like a jerk. But he got a wake up call. He went back to his father/family. He got people around him for accountability. He made an authentic commitment to his faith. (I am part of a group that meets with the Steeler chaplain. He doesn't give out personal info but began telling us years ago that Ben was genuinely transforming his life.) I think his record since then demonstrates the truth of this statement. How Ben is viewed by his teammates and how his persona around Pittsburgh has changed is more evidence. Grabbing old, low hanging fruit is great for an echo-chamber but it's not exactly intelligent commentary.

Just leaving this here so people can salivate.

https://www.nfl.com/news/2021-nfl-pl...super-bowl-lvi

Quote:
The quick-passing game is a typical tool offenses use to strategically overcome pressure. Just maybe not against Kansas City. Since the Chiefs acquired Melvin Ingram ahead of Week 9, their defense has allowed the NFL's second-lowest passer rating (81.8) and yards per attempt (5.0), and third-worst completion percentage (66.4%) against quick passes (less than 2.5 seconds to throw), per NGS.

The Chiefs own a major advantage over the Steelers in this area, which doesn't bode well for Pittsburgh on Sunday night. Despite Ben Roethlisberger ranking second in completions (257) and yards (2,110), and tying for fifth in touchdowns (14), he has been incredibly inefficient on quick throws over the course of the season. The veteran ranks 29th in completion percentage (69.6), 25th in yards per attempt (5.7) and passer rating (93.2), and 27th in completion percentage over expected (-4.2%).

You're never gonna convince people on this board about Ben. He's been called "Big Rape" here for almost a decade.

He's also consistently thrown his teammates under the bus when things looked sour for the Steelers. When they had a prime Bell and dominant OL, he demanded to be given more passing plays cause his over inflated ego couldn't take it.

Chiefs will win, but there is an undeniable advantage to the losing team in any rematch situation. KC will have the rematch advantage against the Bill, Bengals and Titans in the playoffs. But don't be surprised if this game against the Steelers is much tougher than the last one.
