No I am. When I see things about "reality" games I think of all those anime that have people trapped in virtual reality worlds trying to get out. Unless reality means SIMS type stuff.

Reread it, the "reality" game is just a viral marketing deal on their website trying to get people interested. Now the game sounds like it will be a big world of people, but I think it will still be a FPS. We will find out sunday. Im pretty excite

I still have a mid-90s Mac that I occasionally boot up to load the floppies of "Marathon". 20 years later and with about as much computing power and memory as a pocket calculator, that game still has atmosphere, especially late at night in the dark with stereo headphones on.
This is a PC-emulator version, which apparently starts you off in a rock-walled area. This makes absolutely no sense in terms of the game's narrative; it's a nod to their first game, before "Marathon", called "Pathways Into Darkness" (a Mac game where you roamed a temple with a knife IIRC). |
