Posted this in another thread, but copying it over here.

I’m going Chiefs 41-27.

The game is effectively over in the third with the Chiefs up 35-13. Ravens get 2 4th quarter TDs to get it sorta close.

The Ravens have success on the ground in this one, but struggle converting 3rd downs. Jackson doesn’t have time to throw on passing downs.

Mahomes is magnificent after a slow first quarter. Protection holds up and CEH is deadly in the screen game. 2nd quarter offensive explosion prevents the Ravens from being able to rely on the run game.

They're a better team. But we have the best player on the field.

The game is away. But there are no fans.

I really think we either get embarrassed or win a close won. And I'll go with the latter....because Mahomes. Can't really bet against him yet.

I'd have to look it up, but what is Mahomes win % on MNF (away) games?

I know, I know.... every day is a new day... I just have a bad feeling about this one.

Going into this week, I was thinking that this game was a toss up, and means way more to the Ravens than the Chiefs. While I think we match up great against them, I was concerned about the Ravens motivation.

The somebody made a point in the Ravens thread about Pat tweeting the “taking notes” when he was ranked #4 on the players top 100 list....behind Lamar Jackson who was #1

The more I thought about that, the more I started thinking about Mahomes being the next Michael Jordan, and not only wanting to be the best, but wanting everyone to know that he is the best.

So, as anyone who lived through the Jordan era knows, he was at his best when the limelight was the brightest, and the dude simply did not lose, especially when he was going up against his “nemesis”....

So, I’ve changed my stance from a “50/50” chance to “Pat is going to make it very clear who is the best team and who the best player is”.....and while the Ravens will make the score look respectable in the end, the outcome will never be in doubt.

I hope like hell I am wrong, but I think another slow start will be the undoing in this game. I think it will be close but we just run out of time.

31-28 Shitbirds. The Ravens will be come the media darlings and favorites for the rest of the year only to fail in the playoffs.

I'm with ya. I dont think the CHIEFS "D" is playing well enough yet to stop the Raven's run game. I think we lose the TOP big time and are forced to play perfect on offense and run out of time.

It's only week 3. Plenty of season left after this one. If the CHIEFS lose, they'll get revenge in the Playoffs if the two meet again.
