I have a new life hero.

I'm not an art expert at all, so I just found out about Cy Twombly. He lived from 1928 through 2011 and his work is apparently highly coveted.

Wikipedia described his style as follows, and I think they're accurate: "Twombly soon developed a technique of gestural drawing that was characterized by thin white lines on a dark canvas that appear to be scratched onto the surface."

This piece of his ("Untitled") sold in 2015 for $70.5 million.

Here are some other example of his work:

I work hard. I try to succeed. But man, this guy had it down. No one has ever been as successful at conquering life as Cy Twombly. He figured out how to make a living doing this. Nothing that anyone else can ever do is going to impress me as much as that.

I did this same shit on a piece of notebook paper in Elementary school. Working on my autograph and making it look as cool as possible, but in the end it doesn't look remotely like my real name. If I knew that shit would be worth something one day, I would've saved those notebooks.

I know Jackson Pollock stuff sells at a mint and all he did was splatter paint all over the canvas willy-nilly, but I don't think he ever saw a dime when he was alive.
Pollock was also classicly trained by Kansas City’s own Thomas Hart Benton. Looks like splatters but there IS a pattern there. There are also fun sciency things like fractals there

It being winter - I can provide many similar and equitable images with yellow snow as the theme.

He was a very talented artist... and he, like many others, end up doing abstract..

He was a master at using gravity to manipulate his application. impossible to reproduce.

Aren't art sales like this often fronts for laundered money?

There's good modern art out there. I'm not a huge fan of these Twomblys, though.

Rothko is one of my favorites.

I would be incredibly honored if one of my polls would someday sell for $70.5 million.
