Never let the KC Star forget what they did...

They essentially ruined Hill's reputation and cost him millions...for nothing.

Never let that pig of a human, Fat Brooke off the hook. There needs to be local public ramifications...they shouldn't be able to walk away unscathed. She needs to be run out of town along with Mellinger.

They need to be constantly heckled and shamed... the same way they brought that humiliation on an innocent man. Let's see how they like being a target of a witch hunt...one they actually deserve.

Teach them that their words come with a price...

I hope Hill, at least, comes at them with a law suit....even if he doesn't win.

If someone did this to me...I would use every resource at my disposal to see them held accountable.

**** them...and **** Florio...and **** KCTV5.

I think the greater issue isn't with the KC Star, but with nearly all news publications. For so many, it is a race to be the first one with the information, not necessarily checking the information that was given to them for authenticity and accuracy. The KC Star got the information available and ran with it. It is very easy to have hindsight to figure out the right way to handle certain situations. There was a lot, myself included, that when the reports came out assumed guilt on Tyreek. After a week or so into the story, I decided that we just didn't know the truth and I tried to take a step back. The more we learn about the situation, the more it is pointing towards the fact that Tyreek didn't do what many already found him guilty of.

Look at PFT, Florio is still pushing this narrative that, Tyreek HAS to be guilty because of a horrendous event that happened in his past. Florio is an example of some journalists that don't care about facts. They believe something, IT HAS TO BE TRUE, so they push that narrative regardless of what becomes public knowledge.

I do believe that Tyreek is going to be suspended, whether that is right or not, the NFL set that precedent last year with Jimmy Smith (could have that name wrong).

They knew the real truth about the broken arm and later the 911 call and they chose to omit these facts to create the narrative they wanted.

Not just bad reporting- it was a farce.

Not sure what you're getting here. Look, I don't have a lot of time to waste in those Tyreek threads. I checked in every so often, sure. I still honestly don't know who is that person.

I've spoken out about getting upset about the click bait articles. Too many of you are getting upset about something that was meant to provoke. Thats their only motive.

But, the Star and KCTV5 are supposed to be "journalists". A higher bar than click bait BS. They should be held accountable for posting bad information. They are human beings, We all make mistakes. But, they have to own it. Apologize. Make it right. Publicly say what they got wrong. Apologize again. Say what they are going to do to prevent it next time.
Shut up, fatty!

I kid, I kid. I tend to agree with you on this.

At some point, journalists stopped merely reporting the news and started trying to shape the news and at the same time become the news. Even what should be unbiased, straight forward incident reports often contain subtle, backhanded jabs, or are immediately followed by a specifically slanted editorial opinions.

And much like the Old Jedi Mind Trick, these tactics are extremely effective against the weak-minded.

This is the media, that's all it is. It's nothing to do with people, it's to do with ratings! For fifty years, we've told them what to eat, what to drink, what to wear... for Christ's sake, Tyreek, don't you understand? Americans love the media. They wean their kids on it. Listen. They love game shows, they love wrestling, they love sports and violence. So what do we do? We give 'em *what they want*! We're number one, Reek, that's all that counts, believe me. I've been in the business for thirty years.

Well, I haven't been in show business as long as you have, Florio. But I'm a quick learner. So, I'm going to give the audience what *I* think they want.

I suggest we ask that Justin Beiber pay a little visit to the Star's editorial cubicle.
