Surprising former Chiefs still in the NFL

In case you're curious, there are 127 active NFL players who have worn a Chiefs uniform in the past, or are currently wearing the uniform.*

A poll will magically appear at the top of this thread with a list of former Chiefs whose continued presence in the NFL might be surprising for some reason. Generally, this is because they either played for us a long time ago, didn't have a promising tenure with us, or both.

Which THREE most surprise you that they're still playing in the NFL? Pick THREE.

*-A few of these are not currently on a team but are still listed as active players who are currently free agents. I'm using the PFR definition of active.

Justin Houston for sure. He had a lot of good years in the tank after we let him go.

I went with Tremon Smith, Nick Williams, and Kevin Pierre-Louis.

Smith seemed to be just a returner and didn't do much.
Nick Williams seemed to be the 53rd man on our roster a decade ago, and somehow he's still playing.
Kevin Pierre-Louis was a special teams linebacker for us years ago, and those guys come and go quickly. But he's still playing.

I figured that Eric Murray would be a lock on my list since he never seemed to get on the field for us. But the three players above suprise me a bit more.

I'm surprised that Reggie Ragland is still around. I thought he was tailing off when he played for us.

I find it interesting that we have two previous generations of both center (Hudson and Morse) and kicker (Santos and Succop) out there. Succop barely made it into the Andy Reid era, and he's still kicking.

And whatever happened to Marcus Peters? He was looking to be a big star with us before he melted down. Then the Rams hated him and moved him on. The Ravens have him now and I never hear anything about him any more.

Yeah, he's another surprise. I figured he had one more season in him when he left, but he's still chugging along. He's had a weird career. He was a monster until that friendly-fire knee injury. It seemed like he never came back right, but he's still regularly producing sacks. If he makes it a couple more years he might pass Derrick Thomas in career sacks.

Succop and Santos. Kickers can have really odd NFL paths. Chase Daniel has had a great career holding a clipboard.

Well, he played for us just last year and another team wanted him in free agency, so I figured he wasn't a big surprise. Same with Matthieu.

Maybe I should've added Taco Charlton, though.

What's the record for years in the NFL and fewest snaps played? Chase Daniel might hold that obscure record.

He had a big INT and return Sunday that was key in Saints beating Browns.

Ahh Nick Williams. A Dave Toub special we kept instead of David Irving if I recall.
