Run Defense SUCKS

All other bullshit aside, we only ran 51 plays to their 71.

We had the ball less than 10 minutes in the 2nd half.

IF we even make it to the playoffs with this horrid run D, we don't make it out of wildcard weekend if they don't do something drastic.

Oh, Spagnuolo was so awful and one dimensional, it made me want Sutton back. Where were his "adjustments"?

I'm getting there.....you do realize basically all of NFL history says if your coach doesn't go to the Superbowl in his first 5 years it won't happen right....

I'm just tired of it, tired of running all these scrubs through on defense, having idiot coaches that can't do shit. And watching NE win every year, Tom Brady and his special steroids that never goes away. He'll probably get a bionic arm or something and play till he's 65.

Honestly, if you're ready to fire everyone and burn it down, you probably need to take a break or something.

Just tired of it, I know watching this team they won't win anything. But that's the life of a KC fan.

They have a 2nd year starting QB who is on a hall of fame track no other player has been on, were a play away from the Sb in his first year and have a HOF coach.

Quit this whiny bullshit and grow a pair.

Shit happens. Guys get hurt, you lose games. ****ing quit sulking.

If you confidently think this team is going to beat the Patriots you're high.

Well, the Pats are a really good team. So they may not. It's a football game, shit happens.

But yeah, they can beat them if they play well.

You should have seen the game Sunday before you typed that. And if you claim that you did, you might not know shitty lines when they're right under your nose.

But who knows, I'm a fair guy, perhaps these weak hacks will build muscle this week and not have the Texans push them around.

Well...
Lol at the excuses. Chiefs just got their asses handed to them at home by the Colts who were banged up and didn't even have Luck. They ran it down our throats at will. Frank Clark trade looks like an absolute disaster and Hitchens was also a terrible signing. Veachs D draft picks suck.

Not time to hit the panic button yet a lot of football left to be played but so far this season Veach acquisitions have been bad...

This team still can win it all but if they do certainly wont be because of Veach' s moves it will be because of Reid/Dorsey

7 straight drives, 6 really, and not a single score by the offense. 124 yards in those 6 drives and 86 came in 2 drives. Now let's look at the Colts drives

# Quarter Time LOS Plays Length Yds Result
1 1 9:02 CLT 30 11 5:18 78 Touchdown
2 2 14:08 CLT 25 7 2:56 8 Field Goal

9 4 5:02 KAN 33 7 2:35 21 Field Goal
10 4 1:16 KAN 47 2 1:16 -2 End of Gam

The defense was able to give the Chiefs 3 real drives in the 2nd quarter and look what they did with those opportunities

3 plays, 24 seconds, 0 yards punt
4 plays, 1 minute 18 seconds, 38 yards, fumble
8 plays, 2 minutes 50 seconds, 15 yards, punt

Don't give me that bullshit that the offense couldn't get into a rhythm. The offense flat out sucked and had plenty of opportunities to score, but just didn't. They scored on 33% of their drives, you know how many times they've only scored on 33% of their drives in the previous 23 games? One time and that was Sunday night. Hell guess how many times they've scored >/= 40% of there drives since Mahomes has been a starter (excluding Sundays game), 1 time and that was week 2 of this year against the Raiders and we didn't need to score after the 2nd quarter. Before Sunday night the offense was scoring on 61% of their drives, I'm excluding drives that were at the end of half or end of game, if they had it for only a couple of plays. If we were clearly running the clock out at the end of a game that's not included either. Last year we scored on 56% of our drives and there was no real difference between wins and losses. In wins we scored on 57% of the drives and in losses we were at a 55% score rate.

Since the beginning of last year we had 10 games in which the offense had 9 or less drives, this is not including Sunday night. In those 10 games the offense averaged 35 PPG. Since Mahomes has taken over the offense has averaged 9.8 drives per game, so essentially 10. So there is no way you can even try to blame the defense for this loss. It's not like the defense sucked so bad that the offense only had the ball 6 times in the game. This game was lost because the offense isn't even close to full strength.

Aren't you the same guy who said you can't beat the Chiefs by just running the ball? Only reason you are saying you can't blame the D is to try and fit that idiot narrative you posted before. Anyone with half a brain who saw the game will tell you that the D was bad and deserves some of the blame for the loss.

Better get it fixed. The next 5 games will make or break them. Houston @Denver Packers Vikings and then @Tennessee. Beside Houston all those teams will run at will vs Chiefs

Yep, the story of the game was NOT the run defense. It was the complete breakdown of the offensive line. We'd probably have been shut out with an average NFL QB -- only the Mahomes factor allowed us to move the ball at all.
