On the same day they christened the Old Man's statue, they went out and were totally humiliated by an FCS school. (The same one they mocked KU for losing to a couple years prior). Harp-Brown-Williams-Self all played for the National Title and none have statues in Lawrence.

But then, I guess legends come cheap these days in certain places.

That's quite a stat, 5 years since any victory over a team that was ranked at the end of the season. But 14 straight years losing at least one non-conference game, can that be accurate?

There's been very little difference long term between MU football and KU football frankly. But it doesn't really matter, since neither are ever relevant in the national scene outside of 1 dream season.
