Did Iran Kill 600 Americans in Iraq War II? Or 500?

Don't forget Pompeo admitted he has lied when at the CIA. He's no different than Clapper, Brennan and Hayden. Well, perhaps he's a bit better but not much.
Secretary of State Mike Pompeo claims that Iran killed 600 Americans during Iraq War II.

The syllogism goes, Iran supplied EFP bombs to Sadr’s militia, the Mahdi Army, they then used those bombs on U.S. troops. Ergo “Iran,” meaning the ayatollah and his government, killed those troops.

Is that the case?

No. All through 2007, Gen. Petraeus and friends had insisted that all Shi’ite-placed, copper-core-having, “Explosively Formed Penetrators” were being made and supplied by Iran. They never demonstrated this.

In fact, if you check, you will find that over and over again, Western reporters found machine shops where the EFPs were being made in Iraq by Iraqis.

Here are a few blogs full of links from back then.

And here are a few more [mainstream] articles debunking the spin.

It does look like Lebanese Hezbollah taught them how to make them, but they’re not “Iran,” and they did what? Taught Iraqi Shia how to make them. And again, though obviously it’s possible in part at least, it was never shown that any of these bombs originated in Iran, much less that the Iranian government was behind it all. The U.S. claimed that then, and they claim it now, but they have never proven it.

So you can see how attributing every American death at the hands of a Shi’ite in Iraq War II to “Iran,” based on the Shi’ites’ use of EFP bombs, is just plain old not accurate.

“The city of an*Najaf, Iraq, is a provincial and market center located on the western branch of the Euphrates River approximately 100 miles south of Baghdad. Its population (prewar) of 563,000 expands at times with pilgrims to this important center of Islamic scholarship and theology. It is the location of several significant shrines for Shi’a Muslims and boasts one of the largest cemeteries in the world. Its more recent history has been marked by conflict of a political nature as the place of exile for Ayatollah Khomeini and site of the assassination of Ayatollah Mohammad Sadiq. It served as the location of Shi’a resistance to perceived political oppression and was a place of battle once more in 2004.”

The graveyard fight (pg 29 of the link) 15 years ago was tough but also surreal. Guess Iran and Sadr are feeling froggy again. Let the Sunni fight them.

I see no one clicked on the links in the original article posted from independent/libertarian to MSM —alls reporting the same. I used "here", "here" and "here" with an underline to show them.

So I will repost them separately with their news titles and urls instead.

Exploding the myth of Iranian bombs

https://www.latimes.com/archives/la-...n16-story.html

Iraq’s Superbombs: Home Made?
Where are Iraq’s superbombs coming from, really? The Pentagon is claiming — again — the the Iranian government supplied the deadly "explosively formed penetrators"
(EFPs). But the more you study these devices .... the more likely they seem to be home-made in Iraq.
https://www.wired.com/2007/02/where_are_iraqs/

U.S. Find Stokes Fears Of Iraqis' Bomb-Making Ability
An American military raid in southern Iraq uncovered a makeshift factory used to construct advanced roadside bombs that the U.S. had thought were made only in Iran. ...

The Saturday raid in the small town of Jedidah marked the first time U.S. forces found evidence that militants inside Iraq are assembling "explosively formed penetrators," or EFPs, which can punch through...
https://www.wsj.com/articles/SB117254247709420157
So these were made my Iraqi militants.

Now for the independent libertarian reporting

Scott Horton
Bush and Rumsfeld, known liars, also pushed this narrative of Iran building these bombs, but the next day "General Pace said he had no evidence whatsoever to back up the president’s false assertions and Secretary Rumsfeld just dissembled."

https://www.antiwar.com/blog/2006/03...sides-in-iraq-

https://www.antiwar.com/blog/2007/02...nsurgency/war/

EFPs are Made in Iraq by Iraqis

https://www.antiwar.com/blog/2007/08...raq-by-iraqis/

Since our invasion put the Shiites in power, the Bush Admin backed the same folks as the Iranians. Bush and Rumsfeld tried to tilt the balance back to the Sunni's instead ( Saudi Arabia is Sunni). Hence we also saw the rise of ISIS —also backed by SA.

Even the NYT's pushed Cheney's propaganda propaganda "that the new, improved EFP bombs must be coming from Iran."

Journalist Gareth Porter, one of the few and best investigative journalist not tied to globalist corporate-owned media, has written extensively on this topic.

We definitely owe Iran some payback. I hope somewhere there’s a Persian BEP warning them about the blowback their policies are going to trigger absent a change of behavior.

Why would Iran even risk the destruction of their country by attacking us? Makes NO sense. Completely devoid of logic. More and more people are realizing that but the corporate media ignore it.

They will only continue to attack us if they don’t think they risk destruction. Therefore, the solution is to make sure they believe they risk destruction.

Appeasement doesn’t work. The credible threat of superior force does though. That’s why they toned things down for a year or two in the immediate aftermath of our hot knife through butter invasion of Iraq and takedown of Saddam.

Note this about Iran as well:

The problems Europe is having with Muslim men that rape women with impunity—none of them are from Iran. They are all from Arab and North African dictatorships that bribed European leaders in the late 1990’s when the Barcelona Agreements were drawn up.
Former CIA spy - Robert David Steele

But be prepared for lots of Iranian refugees if we start another war of aggression. ~ BEP

It was TF Lancer 2-5 CAV in Najaf and in November, 1-5 joined us in Fallujah. It was our honor to serve with them. Your bud was a busy guy in Najaf at that time. He earned his pay.

Who owns and runs the corporate media here in the USA? Who got rid of the SMITH-MUNDT ACT during the OBAMA Administration? THE NDAA amendment makes propaganda legal in the USA. This was a game changer. Noticed how screwed up everything the main stream media delivers as news since this was changed? If TRUMP really cared he would have brought back the SMITH-MUNDT ACT to protect the people of these United States of America form government propaganda. Instead he just sits on his ass and calls it FAKE NEWS day after day after day. When are people going to wake up and see that these politicians both Republican and Democrats are playing us for a bunch of fools.. It really is a sick joke.

NBC Journalist Quits Then Blows The Whistle On How Mainstream Media Deceives The Public

One person to speak out recently is NBC/MSNBC reporter William Arkin, a longtime and well-known military reporter who is best known for his groundbreaking, three-part Washington Post series in 2010. He co-reported it with two-time Pulitzer winner Dana Priest on how sprawling, unaccountable, and omnipotent the national security state has become in the post-9/11 era. This report dealt with black budget operations, programs that not even the commander in chief nor Congress has any idea about.

https://www.lewrockwell.com/2019/05/...es-the-public/
Also includes the $21 trillion missing dollars from the Department of Defense, and the Department of Housing and Urban Development.

Trump supposedly knows about this and is to get it back. I dunno but I have also read Brennan was behind it and classified where it went so it couldn't be known about.
