Prayer Request

Hey gang!
I have a simple prayer request. My dad has been suffering from cancer for awhile now. He decided to forego chemo etc as it wouldn't do him any good and went the Hospice route. We were told by the RN Monday that he has a week to 10 days left and that the cancer has gone to his brain. I love my Dad and this has been and will be the hardest days of my life so far. Mom (76 years old, married to Dad 58 of them) has been a trooper so far but she now requires 24 hour assistance taking care of him. I will be going there tomorrow and will stay as long as she needs me, my brothers, sister, niece and nephew have pitched in so far, now we're in the home stretch.
Please guys and gals, add my Dad (Perry Zarger) to your prayer lists for a peaceful, painless and short journey, and for Mom (Ida) to have the strength to say goodbye and live without the man whom she has lived for all this time.

Ahhh man, that sucks....I'm sorry to hear that. Be strong and trust the fact you and your family are in my prayers.

Done. I hope your family has the time for some closure with your father. My grandfather passed away a couple of months ago. He had a chance to spend some time with his family before he died and it was very healing for all involved.

You have my prayers. I was able to spend a lot of time with my Dad in his final days. Those are memories I cherrish every day.

My dad also has cancer. It's a slower growing kind so we haven't had to deal with your situation yet. But eventually.....
