Request for Giving Tuesday

Hey, everyone! Mods, I totally understand if you choose to Romper this.

I have been running an organization since December of 2010. I actually first posted about it here as a high schooler in January 2011 (you can look through the thread here: http://chiefsplanet.com/BB/showthread.php?t=253986)

In 2015, myself and the founding members of the org expanded our high school project into a legitimate non-profit organization. As a non-profit, we have helped fund the construction of schools in Kenya and Nepal, have provided clean water filters for hundreds of people, funded teacher salaries and school lunch programs, and members of our org have helped provide washable and reusable pads for women in Nepal through the Days4Girls program.

This year, I'd be honored if you considered having a facebook fundraiser for Open World Cause on GivingTuesday this year. Giving Tuesday is tomorrow, December 3rd. The first 7 million in donations after 7 A.M. CT will be matched by Facebook. Since we became established in 2015, 96% of all of our donations have gone directly to our partnered schools. As an organization, we also work to shine a light on our student volunteers here in the U.S., some who have gone on to receive renewable scholarships at KSU and Western Kentucky.

If you want to bypass facebook, any support can be directed here: http://openworldcause.org/ For $15 a month, you can become a sponsor of a student's education.

Finally, the link to our facebook page can be found here: http://facebook.com/openworldcause

Members of Chiefsplanet have honestly been among our biggest donors in our organization. Some of your generosity has been part of why schools have been constructed and children are receiving an education today - I can not thank you enough for your continued support!

Hey! It’s been a hard semester, and that legitimately means the world.

To be fair to threebag02, I am sure I came off like a pretentious douchenozzle during some of the darker periods of the Alex Smith era - and I’ll own up to that. My criticism of Smith sometimes by extension tagged his supporters, and I’m sure I would cringe looking back at some of those posts.
