Off Season Lets Talk Guns

Been a while since we had a guns n' ammo discussion.

Some of you are AR shooters Im sure. Im looking at a Colt 6920. Will be my first AR. Picked up a Glock this fall and really enjoy shooting it. Any feedback on that weapon?

Anyone else been in a buy/sell/trade mood with hardware?

It's not Illinois - it's Chicago. When you think about it, it's clear - the last group that wants the people armed is criminals. Who runs Chicago and always has?

Yeah, I really like how you can enter your zip code and sort by cost per round including shipping. It helps a lot.

This is what I'm thinking. Does anyone have any suggestions on good beginner reloading kits?

Yes. The Lee 50th anniversary-reloading-kit Its all you need & more to get started. Once you have a good understanding about what you are doing you can up the game with a better press. If you are like me & want the best MOA out of each bullet a single stage will take you far.
http://www.cabelas.com/presses-dies-...ding-kit.shtml

You AR-15 nuts with your 1/7 & 1/9 twist barrels will freak over this bullet over some Varget once you start reloading

Sierra .224 69 gr MatchKing

Remember on primers for Ar-15 is 7-1/2 not the 6-1/2s. The firing pin will hole a 6-1/2 primer & things get dirty real quick

You keep what you have, but no new stuff will be made and sold.

I know that they will go for outlawing lead bullets and/or taxing bullets. They will be really sneaky about it, too.
I think you are correct, expect some magazine restrictions and hope for nothing else.

Picked up a Hi Point 4095 the other day and put my green laser/flashlight combo on it along with a temporary foregrip off my sons airsoft gun. Ordered the compensater yesterday. Seems like it'll be a fun plinker for 300 bucks.

My Dad has the 9mm version and you're right, it has to be one of the ugliest creations out there. However, you are also right that they are supposed to be very reliable and if I'm not mistaken are not meant to be broken down and cleaned. Just run a bore snake every now and then and your done. Of course for the money they are fairly disposable.
