Herro,

What two Chinese dishes are your go-to for Chinese take-out?

Feel free to include apps and pu pu platter too.

Just ordered! - 1 order of Chicken Lo-Mein
side of two spring rolls
and 2 liter of soda.

Other Items I rike:
-Mongolian Beef/chicken
-Beef or Chicken Fried Rice
-SOME place's General Tsao's - (don't normally risk it)

Seriously just being silly with the Asian accent part, don't get upset.



Edit: I've done this thread before - but it was around 2006ish - I feel we need an update - as our tastes change as we get older.

Not really Coop - I don't even have many recs in my own area - I just don't like that more and more places are using thighs - don't get me wrong - thighs have their spot in some dishes - I just prefer all white with any variation of fusion or stir-fry types.

The two best Chinese restaurant's (one authentic and one American-style) in my town closed over the past five years due to a need to care for family and and a dispute over a water bill. The best Indian restaurant closed due to multiple health inspection failures. Current go-to ethnic restaurants are a really good Thai place (chicken Drunken Noodle 9 stars of spice) and an Ethiopian place.

Yeah, I mean authentic chinese is a different beast.

One thing that may freak people out is that chinese people eat the heads. Often times as a delicacy. You can try and order some chicken dish it will be topped with a chicken head covered in sauce.

It's... not like american chinese food. Some of it is good as ****, but eating heads just seems weird to me. I can't do it.
