was unbelievably stupid. Maybe they would've scored a TD anyway, but I doubt it. What was he thinking?

The Chiefs just played one of the worst halves of football you'll ever see. Until their last drive of the half they had how many NEGATIVE yards of offense? Mahomes wasn't even close on the majority of his throws and he just overthrew Williams by 5 yards who was on his own island for one of the easiest TD's you could ask for and then promptly took a 15 yard sack to take them out of FG range.

Thank your lucky stars you were only down 7 and go into halftime. Then come out in the 2nd half with some semblance of a plan.

And you don't give Brady any reason to get fired up right before the. I Reid doesn't take the TO there, the clock probably melts away to about 25 seconds before the Patriots even run their 3rd down play. So let the clock run, see if they make the 1st down. If not, call a TO to have a chance to return a punt and maybe run a couple of plays to get in FG range.

I was screaming at the TV for Reid not to call a TO there, and then he did. Cost him a precious 7 points.

And yet at that point...those talentless bafoons had only allowed 7 points.

And we would have had a minute with 2 timeouts to hopefully get a field goal or worst case, do nothing with the ball.

If we don't allow 40 yards on the play after the TO, this isn't a conversation at all. It's simply a good timeout that didn't work out.

As we saw 1st drive of the second half, Mahomes can turn it around in just 1 play. I'll never be mad at Andy for trying to get Mahomes an extra possession.

Agree. Just like every fan on his couch knew that Sean Payton messed up his team's last possession against the Rams in regulation. 1st and 10 at the 12 with under 2 minutes to play, and the Rams with 2 TOs left, and the first play is a pass that falls incomplete, allowing the Rams to save 1 of those precious TOs that they then used to drive the field for the tying FG after the terrible non call on the PI. He runs the ball 3 times there, and takes his chances on getting the 1st down, the clock winds down to about 1 minute left and the Rams with no TOs left after the chip shot FG by the Saints.

So many coaches in the NFL are horrifically bad at clock management. But Andy Reid is especially known for it. And he's still making critical mistakes like giving Tom Brady of all QBs an extra chance to score right before halftime. He's probably only the greatest of all time at doing that. Why Reid didn't just let the Patriots run out the clock there is hard to figure.

Kicking the FG to go to overtime when there was time to take one more shot at the end zone was not a good decision. I knew the Defense wouldn't hold up in OT.

The Patriots literally had 7 people line up at the endzone. There's a higher chance of a pick or sack than anything good happening if you pass it again there.

I'd still chance that over having to ever put that Defense back out. It was stupid to not give it another attempt.

Context is everything. And Reid apparently forgot Tom Brady was the QB of his opponent and probably the all-time greatest at scoring last-minute TDs before halftime. Terrible call.

Against the Ravens with Jackson at QB, good call.
