RAPOPORT: Chiefs prioritizing extending Hill and Jones this offseason, may tag Ford

Hope this is all true, it makes a ton of sense. Sounds like Ford will likely be tagged, as Rapoport says they would like to keep him somehow.

If he leaves, it would be for a team with a great defense. He has never had a great defense backing him. Lost two playoff games in high school where he put 60 points on the board each time. Same kind of crap in college and now this year the Chiefs defense was pretty much a disaster until the last two games. We will see if they play worth a shit today against Brady.

Yeah, no. Regardless of how it all plays out (he is signing a record contract in Kansas City), we have control for 8 years.

So you would jump to a place like the giants where the fans will throw beers at him if he isn't an mvp. Or a place like Miami that has no stability at the coaching position? Or does fit play a really big part in all this. Sure if a team with a good fit gives him some doorbuster deal kc can't match he will take it. But money was not the absolute #1 priority for Peyton or Brady, and I don't see mahomes being that way either.

Actually I could see him taking less money for the right situation, such as the Chicago Bears. Coach he loves. Proven very strong defense. Nagy would dump Trubisky in the trade market ASAP if they could get Mahomes.

There's a reason why almost every franchise qb resigns a second contract with their current team. Who's the last franchise qb who didn't?

There is no way in hell Mahomes is even thinking about leaving this franchise as long as Andy is his coach.

I'll leave it at this....
Would Mahomes play for Daniel Snyder? Would he sign a long-term deal to play for Adam Gase in New York? All because they offered $5 or $10M more to an already blockbuster deal? It's easily KC's race to lose. They have to really **** this up for it not to happen.

Wait, on the day of the AFC Championship Game, are we contemplating that Mahomes won't sign an extension and leave when his contract is up? Really?

Star QBs don’t leave unless their team does not want them any longer.

For the record... I don't see Ford or Jones taking a hometown discount. I don't see Tyreek taking a hometown discount but I see him taking a Mahomes discount. Houston will and should take it. Mahomes will stay in KC if they offer him what he's worth. It would take an incredible offer from the right team to overcome that.

What is this obsession with Adam Gase?(generally speaking here)

What has this guy done other than show he may have some optical nerves that might need tightening.
