That's what I've been thinking through all this.

Of course Shanny shouldn't have been calling options AT ALL, and it was fairly obvious RGIII's condition took a turn for the worst at some point in the 2nd quarter; but after seeing what he did in the 1st quarter, could you imagine the fan/sports writer/media reaction if Shanny pulled him then?

I said it as I was watching the game. He was obviously hobbled. I'm not putting my franchise player at risk, but obviously Griffin wanted to play and they ignored Andrews advice to begin with. I'm just glad the injury wasn't worse. As much as they invested to get him they better do a better job of protecting him.

It shouldnt have been bad at all. Dude was out there in massive pain and couldnt move! Shanahan should have pulled him. He was getting worse and worse til finally his knee gave out on that fumbled snap.

Sometimes, you have to go the right thing regardless of the outcome of the game. Dude was out there on one damn leg and couldnt do anything.

Actually, both fit the bill.

I always say that if you give me a top 10 defense and a franchise QB, then I'll take my chances against anyone.

But if you add a top 10 RB and your defense is not only top 10, but physically dominating, that gets me excited.

it really wasnt about the future of RG3. I mean it was, but he was hurting his team there in the 2nd half. EVERYONE seen it. the announcers couldnt stop talking about it. I kept saying, its time to pull him out for the better of the team for this game, never happened until his knee said no mas!
