Whoever is theoretically trading for him here isn't gonna be able to spread out that cap hit long as he's 30, so he ain't getting a 4 or 5 year deal like most these trades end up being.

I think you guys are fooling yourself into getting mad at the GM when he can't trade him.

Yeah, I think Sneed is the more likely tag and trade guy

It was before he changed up his contract and missed one game check and all that stuff.
On one of the Locked on Chiefs podcasts, they said that with the changes to his contract and incentives likely to be earned that he will likely not get, DPOY, etc. it is hard to know what his number will be. But he likely lost more than just the $$$ in the contract because it is likely to drop his tag number well below $30 million.

He's at 27 million this year, IIRC before any incentives. So if that's the case, 120% of that.

I would imagine that every team in the NFL has a shitty contract or two...even playing field

He's getting his 30mil this offseason. Here or somewhere else.

I really hope it's here 'cause he's now the 2nd most important player on this team.

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

I don't know. It's true the D has been carrying the offense but unless the WRs step up, I would hate to go into the post season without Kelce.

He's not long for the league anyway. Whatever our post-Kelce plan is we better start working on it. He's already ancient for a TE.
