Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

Kelce’s mom in the house. Got her dual team SB shirt back from the HOF, on loan for this game. Says this is the happiest she’s ever seen Trav. LFG!

I remember going to Arrowhead with my Dad when I was a tike. We were playing the Bears. It was cold and raining. I was miserable. It was also windy as all get out. A guy in front of us was buying peanuts and he attempted to hand the vendor a $20. That was a LOT of money back then. The wind caught it and the bill floated, majestically, end over end, all the way out on to the field. I recall people jumping as high as they could to try and catch it, but alas, it was just out of everyone's reach. Of course, my father took the opportunity to explain to me that this is why you don't produce large denomination bills out of your wallet on a windy day. In that moment, I reminded him that he did not bring rain gear for us to wear and the small child he was attempting to give sound monetary advice to was now soaked all the way through his coat AND his clothes and I was experiencing hypothermia. He made me watch the rest of the first half because "Chiefs tickets don't grow on trees." Yet more sound financial advice. We left at halftime.

Try being at -12 degree game with Tyler Thigpen as the quarterback. Real fun shit.

Pretty sure they said that game against the titans was tied for coldest game in Arrowhead history. Only to watch em lose on a last second succup field goal that was missed on the first attempt that got iced.

This sounds like 1 of those Deep Thoughts by Jack Handey bits on SNL back in the day

I'm sure we've discussed this in the past, but if you're an NFL talking head and you can't use proper basic grammar when speaking, is it because you don't care or because your language is so ingrained that you can't learn proper English? Is the network bringing it up at contract time and offering to pay for grammar lessons?

I think it's bad for children watching the game, who are learning basic grammar in their daily lives, to hear an adult on television who can't use proper words.

The losing team, which also has to go back to their hotel room afterwards to prepare for a flight to Philadelphia.
