Eric Fisher injured Friday [but is ACTIVE for Oakland]

Eric Fisher T, Kansas City Chiefs
Coach Andy Reid told reporters Friday that Chiefs LT Eric Fisher suffered a groin injury during practice Friday.

Fisher is expected to be listed on the teams' official injury report later this afternoon. He allowed just two pressures on 41 snaps in pass protection in Week 1 and finished 2018 as PFF's No. 26 overall offensive tackle among 62 qualified players. Potentially being without your LT is never ideal, but the Chiefs are still set up brilliantly this week against the Raiders' anemic secondary.

It’s so easy to play armchair HC and sit here and say “I would’ve run it a few times, ran some more clock, then scored!”, but that doesn’t mean that it’s automatic. In a perfect world, yes we would’ve taken more time, but scoring is always first and foremost in that situation.

If Dee Ford simply does his job, we’re not even talking about this. Ever.

Can’t say I’m surprised that the team that lost a chance at a Super Bowl due to a penalty was the same team that lead the league in penalties.

Can’t say I’m surprised that you’re still looking for a way to put that loss on Reid because that’s consistent with the narrative you’re constantly pushing.

Narrative?

Andy has lost 5 of 6 championship games and over half of those losses were lost at home. That’s not a narrative. Whether you like it or not, that is a fact.

Why do you think we traded for him, other than, "Ehh **** it... why not?" Surely if the Texans really wanted a RB like Hyde (they did) we could have bargained for a better player who was going to be among their cuts.

Does Rankin have potential to be really good or something? Because right now he's taking up a roster spot, not a practice squad spot, and if he's just going to suck dick going into next year and possibly the year after that, we'd best just cut him now.

#Packers LT David Bakhtiari, who popped up on the report with a back injury, is planning to play today vs. the #Vikings, I’m told. Meanwhile, #Chiefs LT Eric Fisher, who injured his groin late in the practice week, is a long-shot to play vs. the #Raiders.

Per Ian as of today

They need to not push Fisher into starting and then he makes it worse and lost for weeks now.

Groin injuries are easy to aggravate. If its a serious strain/pull Fisher can't play. He could be dealing with it all season if they don't let it heal.

That's good. 80% Fisher is still miles better than Erving or Rankin or Allen.
