Patriots trade WR Thomas to Jets?
Not only weird to trade with a divisional rival who you haven't played yet...but your new WR just got hit, federally, on 3 counts of rape later the same day.

WTF is going on...this whole thing is getting stranger and stranger.

Pats wouldnt have teaded him to jets if they didnt think he sucked.


On the plus side, the pats can lose 2 for the price of 1.
In a perfect world AB loses his money but pats are stuck with the cap hit.

This dude was never very good. He's just a guy Manning made famous and he's been making money off it ever since. I couldn't understand why everyone kept listing him as a reason the Pats are loaded. Obviously they agreed. I bet this only had a little to do with the AB signing.

That's been plenty before. Also, I actually think they could sign a JAG of the street who would replace Thomas' production, but I'm obviously down on him.

Pats are carrying like 8 WRs. Even with no AB last Sunday AND first round pick N'Keal Harry on IR (he can return this year), Thomas was a healthy inactive. That plus the fact that he was cut and then resigned after the initial rosters were set tells us all we need to know about his tenuous grasp on a roster spot.

It's too bad. I had hopes it would work out for him with the Pats, but good luck to him with the Jets. They are not going to be good anytime soon.
