Losing players is a part of the deal in the NFL, but this one really hurts. The thought of never seeing another pass bounce off Chris Kingston's stone hands in a crucial situation again...of never being able to watch Conroy not live up to his potential again...sometimes it gets to you a little more than you'd like to admit.

Please everyone, share your favorite Craig Constable memory here, and let's all wish him the best in Jacksonville.

To this day, I don't understand why Conley wasn't able to do more with the Chiefs. I'm hopeful that someday the truth will be known. It isn't because he doesn't have athletic ability.

I don't think Mahomes trusted him enough to get him the ball in a lot of situations. If you watch All-22 enough, you can see Conley open quite a bit while Mahomes preferred to throw to other targets ... often in tighter coverage. Usually, those targets were far deeper, though.

I wish him nothing but the best.

Seems like a nice kid. Sometimes dropping a couple crucial passes early in the season can get in your head and be hard to get past. On a much much smaller scale, it happened to me years ago. Dropped a huge pass against Rock Bridge HS early in the season and literally couldn't catch anything the rest of the year. 100% mental. Like getting the putting yips in golf.

Bad feet.

He's a long strider in an offense that simply has no use for them. He was still occasionally useful but he simply can't gear up and down like he needs to for Reids system.

He may be more useful elsewhere but he had out-priced his utility here in a big way...

I can grok that concept.

It doesn't matter now, but I don't know why he wasn't used to run the "go" and throw him the deep 50/50 ball. AS11 wouldn't have done it (too risky), so there goes 3 years of his career. I suppose I don't fully comprehend why Wally didn't use him that way once Mahomes arrived. The dude can leap over buildings. Match him up against a 5-10/11 corner and let him go get the damn thing.
